There are a couple of basic things to consider when registering a domain name...
1. Your geographical target (eg. co.za for South Africa and co.uk for companies in the UK)
2. If your company name is A-Z trading and you sell bathrooms in South Africa a better name than aztrading.co.za would probably be bathrooms.co.za - Your domain name describes what you do and visitors are very sure of what you provide.
